Since I last wrote {I’m sorry, it was so long ago!} we have officially opened the new girls center! Hooray. There are a few things (like plumbing!) that we need to sort out before the girls can begin moving in, but it will be within the next month for sure. - - Although the details still need to be confirmed, I’ll be moving into the center when it opens! I am currently working on a 2 and a half month contract consulting on gender issues for the 5-year education plan for the Government of South Sudan, but when I finish I’ll be working for CCC full time.
We will move the girls in a few at a time, starting with our oldest - Mary and Esther - and I cannot wait to grow closer to the girls!
The photo above is just so beautiful - our littlest one, Moses, and Nada. Moses is growing stronger all of the time. He can even crawl now! His legs are still quite weak, but he might just be the most loved little baby in Juba & has brought such joy to everyone who has met him!
